The Bauer Supreme 3S Pro SR Hockey Pants have been built and designed for the player looking for the traditional Bauer classic fit with elite level protection. The 3S Pro was built off of the Supreme 2S pant with protection upgrades in the thigh guard area, hip area, and an upgraded pro style 840D nylon shell. This pant provides an elevated elite value in our most popular classic fit.
External Materials
The Bauer Supreme 3S Pro pant features an 840D Nylon shell with additional overlays in high wear areas for better durability. Bauer has also added stretch areas to the inner thigh and crotch which allow the legs to move more naturally without restriction.
Thigh Protection
The thigh guards in the 3S Pro pants consist of a high-density foam with molded PE (polyethylene) inserts. These are anatomically formed and wrap nicely around the leg to give a low profile and feel. This allows the pad to move with the body and prevent the pants from rotating during contact. The inserts are also removable, which in turn helps teams or individuals have easier access to the shell in case they want custom embroidery or embellishment.
Hip Protection
A classic fit one-piece guard in the hips offers great protection in what is usually a high contact area.
Spine Protection
The Bauer 3S Pro pant uses an independent spine protection piece which moves with the body during play and adds Vented Armour Foam. This is a protective and reliable material that keeps the lower spine protected from any unwanted contact.
Kidney Protection
The kidney region is protected by a one-piece multi-density foam and PE (polyethylene) insert. The padding hugs the body comfortably while still allowing a full range of motion. Furthermore, like the UltraSonic, the 3S Pro utilizes the Flex Forward break in the kidney padding to allow even more comfort and forward flexibility while skating.
Belt/Lace Closure
The belt on the Bauer 3S Pro pants is covered by MD foam which offers an additional layer of protection between the thigh and kidney pads. Bauer has also added a zippered extension feature which allows the player to add an additional 1” to the overall length. This feature is beneficial to the player who finds themselves in a possible growth spurt mid season, or in between sizes.
Leg Zippers
Internally, the Bauer 3S Pros are lined with Bauer’s Thermomax+ liner which excels in managing sweat, moisture, and odor. They also feature an enclosed zipper opening that can be used if the player prefers a looser fit in the thighs. These also make it easier to put the pants on for those that choose to put their skates on before their pants when getting dressed – just don’t forget skate guards!
