The Bauer X Shift Pro hockey stick is a model exclusive to Source for Sports and offers a perfect balance of performance, value, and durability for a low kick profile stick at this price point. With the new XE Taper technology, the X Shift Pro weighs only 425 grams and still maintains that dynamic quick release you’d expect from a Vapor stick.
New Features
The new XE Taper technology is an elliptical shaft geometry that is thinner than previous Vapor tapers and has allowed Bauer to drop the overall weight of the stick significantly. The XE Taper also has a stiffer lower hosel to prevent the blade face from opening up, and a softer mid section to increase recoil speed for a faster release and more pop.
Stick Flex Profile
The X Shift Pro stick is a true low kick profile stick. Characteristics include easy shot loading and plenty of pop for a snappy release. The Vapor line is built for speed and getting the puck off the blade and toward the target as fast as possible.
Shaft Construction
The X Shift Pro has a 3K Carbon Fiber construction from tip to toe. The 3K Carbon can be seen in the weave sections of the stick. Bauer uses their high performance mold process to achieve a true 1-piece feel.
Blade Construction/Stiffness
As with all Vapor models the X Shift Pro has that low kick shaft/stiff blade combo. The MaxBalance technology reinforces the edges of the blade to achieve that stiffness, while also allowing Bauer to use a lighter blade core for reduced weight and improved balance.
Graphics
The X Shift Pro stands out in the Vapor line simply because it does not stand out. The super clean silver and black finish will be a hit for players that like to keep things simple. The silver does have a sheen so if you do want a hint of flash, the X Shift Pro delivers.
Grip
The X Shift Pro has a standard clear grip finish that provides a mid level of tackiness.
Blade Patterns/Flex/Lengths
At the X Shift Pro price point – the P92M pattern option is available. The ‘M’ notation indicates max blade height for the P92 pattern. This is the maximum blade height allowed from heel to toe – ultimately creating more surface area for the player to make plays on the ice.
*Note – P92M is the only P92 option available. The standard P92 is not available with the X Shift Pro.
