New Features for the skate
Bauer introduces a new 3D Tech PU Quarter on this skate. Using this material, Bauer is able to keep the skate rather stiff without sacrificing too much weight or performance.
Skate Fit Profile
The Vapor series aims to be the skate for those who don’t fit the supreme line, or those that don’t find it comfortable. The 3mm extended facing creates a deeper fitting skate for those with any special requirements when it comes to skates.
Boot Construction/Stiffness/Level of Play
The boot is made up of 3D Tech PU Quarter with the aim of keeping the boot rather stiff. The boot will have some flex to it as it won’t be as stiff as skates with carbon fiber reinforced skates although it will provide a nice wrap around the foot for comfort from every angle of the skate.
Liner/Internal Padding
The Bauer X2.7 goal skate is lined with Bauers grip liner, this locks in your foot and keep it in place while making any movements on ice, preventing lost transfer energy. The skate is also equipped with a memory foam ankle pad to also keep your foot in place and add more comfort.
Tongue
The Vapor X2.7 goal skate has a felt tongue that is thick and flexible. This tongue prevents lace bite before it even happens and wont restrict you when going into your stance.
Holder/Steel
The Bauer X2.7 Youth Goalie Skate comes with a Tuuk Lightspeed Pro Goalie Holder, equipped with a stainless steel goalie blade.
Graphics
Sleek black and grey boot with red accents surround this skate to make sure you dont on perform well but you also look good while doing it. Sporting an X2.7 logo at the top of the ankle as well as a red stripe along the back of the foot that says Vapor. Lastly, the boot includes a red stripe near the toe cap to set it apart from the pro Vapor model.
