CCM Tacks AS580 Junior Hockey Shin Guards

CCM enters 2022 with a new iteration in the Tacks AS line. The Tacks AS 580 shin guards stick to and enhance the basics with many of its features, including a max coverage Anatomical Shield Design, JDP kneecaps, and ADPTFit technology.

Shin Protection
The shin cap has been made of tough PE plastic and engineered with an Anatomical Shield Design for max coverage and comfort. In addition, underneath the kneecap is a groove fit for your tape. To combat wear and tear that tends to occur near the bottom of the pad, CCM also implemented an abrasion-resistant leather piece at the bottom of the shell.

Knee Cap & Protection
The knee area uses a JDP kneecap design and a protective comfort donut on the inside to keep your knees secure while you play. These features both enhance protection and keep everything in place. The JDP design specifically disperses impact force away from the knee. The comfort donut on the inside liner provides supplemental space for your knee and keeps it further away from the impact point while simultaneously holding everything in place.

Calf Protection
The AS 580 uses an injection-molded calf guard for pro-level calf protection. It is also comfortable and soft, making it adaptable to your leg shape and skating style on the ice.

Liner
The inside ADPTFit sublimated removable liner has been cut and proportioned to fit along your leg, coinciding with the Anatomical Shield Design of the shin guards. With this design, the pads can fit snugly to your leg, increasing both comfort and protection. The donut cutout around the knee portion of the liner helps keep impact even further away from the knee.

Strapping
The AS 580 comes equipped with an ADPTFit length-adjustable calf strap. This strap is designed to offer max comfort and adjust to your build and shape.
